What is power boost?
The backup power supply is always available to ensure stable start-up even under high surge current loads.
Why is it said that increasing power is beneficial?
This feature is particularly suitable for situations with active loads: if the power supply (PSU) does not have surge resistance, high current may cause a sudden drop in output, and the system may restart, resulting in equipment downtime.
Can the Delta Cliq Din rail switch power supply be connected in parallel?
sure. But an Oring diode must be configured to ensure an increase in output power during parallel operation. Please refer to the power supply product manual for details.
12V series products: It is recommended to configure Oring diodes
24V, 48V, and 48V series products: It is recommended to configure DRR series products (redundant components)
Is it recommended to connect the negative pole (-, Gnd) of the output to ground (PE/FG)?
Not recommended. From the background of industrial power supply, it is known that isolated output grounding is required. The complete system includes many components, such as VFD, servo, engine, and contactor, all of which are switch devices. If the output ground is connected to the frame ground, a large amount of harmonics will be generated, and the resulting noise may couple with the power supply. Also, if the power supply is PLC, the analog device is also susceptible to noise interference.
If the PSU is installed horizontally instead of vertically, will there be a difference in rated output power?
yes. This will have a direct impact on the rated output power. To ensure performance, we recommend installing the PSU vertically. For details, please refer to the product manual.
